Kristina Mikulová
Kristina Mikulová is currently a Weidenfeld Scholar in Russian and East European Studies at St. Antony's College of the University of Oxford. Her primary academic interest is the impact of EU enlargement on political stability and identity in East Central Europe. She is also intrigued by the role of religion in Central European politics. For her undergraduate thesis at Charles University, she analyzed a key aspect of Slovak politics - conservative Catholicism. Kristina currently works as a stringer for The Economist and was previously an assistant to the Financial Times correspondent for the Czech and Slovak Republics. She has also previously been engaged in the Eastern European Research Center at the Prague-based think-tank Association for International Affairs, where she specialized on Slovakia and Central Europe. Kristina is fluent in Slovak, Czech and English and has a good knowledge of German and Russian.
