Maciej Golubiewski
Maciej Golubiewski is a graduate of Washington & Lee University (B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics) and of Johns Hopkins University ( M.A. in political science) where he is currently completing his Ph.D. Maciej is a comparativist, writing a dissertation about the impact of the recent EU enlargement on the development of Euroscepticism among Central and Eastern European political parties. His other areas of interest are the politics of "culture wars" and social policy in the United States and Europe. Mr. Golubiewski's experience includes time spent with various Washington-based public policy institutions such as the Heritage Foundation, the Institute for U.S. Law, Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, and three years as an associate with Charles River Associates International, an economic consulting firm. Currently, he is an expert on the European Union at the Sobieski Institute in Warsaw. He also has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Mannheim in Germany and a recipient of a Baden-Wurttemberg Land scholarship to carry out research at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research. He is fluent in Polish and English, and has a good knowledge of French and German.
