Serban Popescu

Serban Popescu is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. He is a graduate of Central European University (M.A., Nationalism Studies) and the University of Bucharest (M.A., B.A. in Philosophy). Popescu was previously a Research Assistant at the Streit Council for a Union of Democracies, and interned at the Hudson Institute's Center for Future Security Strategies. During the summer of 2007, Serban was a Short-Term Research Scholar at the East European Studies Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and examined the impact of EU accession on the stability of the Romanian political scene. His interests include NATO reform, transatlantic security cooperation and Black Sea security initiatives.
