Title VIII CEE Fellow
Austin Doehler is a Title VIII CEE Area Studies fellow at CEPA. His research focuses on the effects of Chinese investment on the Western Balkan-EU integration process. He holds an M.A. from George Washington University with concentrations in Europe and Eurasia and international development. Before this fellowship, he served as a research consultant with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and a Title VIII language fellow at Indiana University, where he studied BCS (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian). He graduated from Gordon College in 2017 with a B.A. in International Affairs and Political Science and wrote his honors thesis on the role that the Europeanization of Croatian national identity played in Croatia's EU accession.
