Ukrainians have spoken and they have spoken clearly. Ukrainians have voted for change. And Ukrainians have decided to take a chance and to dive into uncharted territory.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy won a stunning victory in Ukraine’s presidential election, taking more than 70 percent of the vote. He upended the traditional electoral map by winning in the Ukrainian-speaking east as well as in the Russian-speaking east and south.

It’s a powerful mandate, to be sure. But a mandate for what? And what happens now?
